Crustless Pizza Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground chicken or beef
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce (sugar-free, if preferred)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or any other topping of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives
  • 1/4 cup red onion (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground meat: In a skillet, cook the ground chicken or beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Assemble the bowl: In an oven-safe bowl, layer the cooked meat at the bottom. Add a layer of marinara sauce on top, followed by shredded mozzarella cheese. Add your favorite pizza toppings like pepperoni, bell peppers, olives, and red onion.
  4. Season it: Sprinkle Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper over the top.
  5. Bake: Place the bowl in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Garnish: Once out of the oven, sprinkle fresh basil on top for an added touch of flavor.
