Best Ever Chicken Recipe


  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    • Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
    • In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, oregano, and basil.
    • Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.
  2. Cook the Chicken:
    • Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, add the chicken broth and lemon juice. Stir to combine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
    • Let the mixture simmer for about 2 minutes, then add the butter. Stir until the butter is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  4. Combine and Serve:
    • Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them.
    • Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, until the chicken is heated through and well coated with the sauce.
    • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.


  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the spice mixture for at least 30 minutes or overnight before cooking.
  • This dish pairs well with a side of roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad.
