Air fryer pizza bowls
Ingredients:
- 4 small oven-safe bowls
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices or diced regular pepperoni
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
- 1/2 cup sliced black olives
- 1/2 cup cooked sausage crumbles
- 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
- Olive oil spray
Instructions:
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare Bowls: Lightly spray the oven-safe bowls with olive oil spray to prevent sticking.
- Assemble Pizza Bowls:
- Layer 1: Spread a couple of tablespoons of pizza sauce in the bottom of each bowl.
- Layer 2: Add a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Layer 3: Add your desired toppings like pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, black olives, and sausage.
- Layer 4: Sprinkle with a little more cheese on top.
- Season: Sprinkle a pinch of Italian seasoning and garlic powder over the top.
- Air Fry: Place the bowls in the air fryer basket. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the toppings are heated through.
- Garnish and Serve: Carefully remove the bowls from the air fryer (they will be hot). Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired and let them cool for a minute before serving.
Tips:
- You can customize the pizza bowls with your favorite toppings.
- Make sure the bowls you use are safe for the air fryer and can withstand high temperatures.
- For a crispy top, you can broil the pizza bowls in a conventional oven for a minute or two after air frying.
