AIR FRYER GLAZED DONUTS
INGREDIENTS FOR DONUTS:
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1 egg
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
INGREDIENTS FOR GLAZE:
1 cup powdered sugar
2-3 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS:
Prepare the Dough:In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
Shape the Donuts:Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead gently for a few minutes until smooth.
Roll out the dough to about 1/2-inch thickness.
Use a donut cutter or two round cutters (one large and one small) to cut out donut shapes. Gather the dough scraps and repeat until all the dough is used.
Preheat the Air Fryer:Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
Air Fry the Donuts:Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking oil.
Place the donuts and donut holes in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
Cook at 350°F (175°C) for 5-6 minutes, or until the donuts are golden brown and cooked through. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Prepare the Glaze:In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Glaze the Donuts:While the donuts are still warm, dip each one into the glaze, ensuring it’s fully coated.
Place the glazed donuts on a wire rack to allow the glaze to set.
Serve:Enjoy your air fryer glazed donuts warm or at room temperature.
