air fried cheese taquitos!

Ingredients:
- 8 small corn or flour tortillas
- 2 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a blend)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
- Preheat Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded cheese, ground cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Assemble the Taquitos:
- Place a tortilla on a flat surface, and spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cheese mixture along one edge of the tortilla. Roll the tortilla tightly around the filling to form a taquito. Repeat with the remaining tortillas.
- Secure with Toothpicks (Optional):
- If needed, secure the taquitos with toothpicks to prevent them from unraveling during cooking. Just remember to remove the toothpicks before serving.
- Spray with Cooking Spray:
- Lightly spray the taquitos with cooking spray. This helps them achieve a crispy texture in the air fryer.
- Air Fry:
- Place the taquitos in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for about 8-10 minutes or until the taquitos are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve:
- Carefully remove the taquitos from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute or two before serving.
- Optional: Dipping Sauce:
- Serve the air-fried cheese taquitos with your favorite dipping sauce, such as salsa, guacamole, or sour cream.
