Vegan tofu nuggets
Ingredients:
1 block of firm tofu
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup unsweetened non-dairy milk
1 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Drain the tofu and press out any excess liquid. Cut it into bite-sized nugget shapes.
In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Pour the non-dairy milk into another shallow dish.
Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
Dip each tofu nugget into the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
Dip the floured nugget into the non-dairy milk, then coat it in the breadcrumbs.
Place the nuggets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the nuggets are crispy and golden brown.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy!
Optional: For an extra crispy coating, you can spray the nuggets with cooking spray before baking.
