Sourdough Discard Cheese Crackers


Ingredients:
1 cup sourdough discard (unfed is fine)

1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened

½ tsp salt

½ tsp garlic powder (optional)

½ cup all-purpose flour (plus more as needed)

½ tsp baking powder

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a food processor or bowl, mix sourdough discard, cheddar cheese, butter, salt, garlic powder, flour, and baking powder until a dough forms.

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to about ⅛-inch thickness.

Cut into squares or desired shapes using a knife or cookie cutter.

Transfer to the prepared baking sheet, spacing slightly apart.

Bake for 15-18 minutes, until golden and crisp.

Let cool completely before serving.

Store in an airtight container for up to a week. Perfect for snacking or pairing with dips!
