Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb 450g breakfast sausage (pork or turkey)
  • 4 cups frozen hash browns shredded, thawed
  • 8 oz 225g cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Eggs & Dairy

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder optional
  • ¼ tsp paprika optional, for color

Instructions

  • Preheat & Prepare
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  • Cook the Sausage
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and fully cooked.
  • Drain excess fat and set aside.
  • Mix Eggs & Dairy
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika until smooth.
  • Assemble the Casserole
  • Spread hash browns evenly in the baking dish.
  • Sprinkle cooked sausage over the hash browns.
  • Dot with cubed cream cheese evenly across the dish.
  • Pour the egg mixture over the top.
  • Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheeses over everything.
  • Bake
  • Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.
  • Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes, until the top is golden and eggs are fully set.
  • Cool & Serve
  • Let the casserole rest for 5–10 minutes before cutting.
  • Slice into squares and serve warm.
