Ingredients
For the Halloumi
8 oz (225g) halloumi cheese, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Honey Garlic Glaze
2 tablespoons honey
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon water
Garnish
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions
Pat the halloumi cubes dry with paper towels. This helps them develop a crisp golden crust.
In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, garlic, lemon juice, soy sauce, red pepper flakes, and water. Set aside.
Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the halloumi cubes in a single layer. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side, turning carefully, until all sides are golden brown and crispy.
Reduce the heat to medium and pour the honey garlic glaze into the skillet.
Stir gently and cook for 1–2 minutes, allowing the sauce to bubble and coat the halloumi bites with a glossy finish.
Remove from heat immediately to prevent the glaze from burning.
Transfer the halloumi bites to a serving platter and spoon any remaining glaze over the top.
Garnish with chopped parsley, sesame seeds, and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
