Keto Savory Spinach and Cheese Stuffed Crescent Rolls

Since traditional crescent dough isn’t keto, this uses fathead dough (the best low-carb substitute).


🧀 Ingredients

For Keto Dough (Fathead Dough)

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 oz cream cheese
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

For Filling

  • 2 cups fresh spinach (chopped)
  • ½ cup cream cheese (softened)
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Optional: chili flakes or Italian seasoning

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Make the Filling

  • Heat olive oil in a pan.
  • Sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  • Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  • Mix in cream cheese and shredded cheese.
  • Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  • Let cool.

2. Make the Dough

  • Microwave mozzarella + cream cheese for 40–60 seconds until melted.
  • Stir until smooth.
  • Add almond flour, egg, baking powder, and salt.
  • Mix into a soft dough.

3. Shape the Rolls

  • Roll dough between parchment paper into a circle.
  • Cut into triangle slices (like pizza).
  • Add spinach filling at the wide end.
  • Roll into crescent shape.

4. Bake

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place rolls on baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden brown.
