Keto Hot Dog Buns
Ingredients:–
- 1 1/2 cups almond flour
- 1 tbsp coconut flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 2 tbsp psyllium husk powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 oz cream cheese
Instructions:–
- Preheat and Prepare:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a medium bowl, mix together the almond flour, coconut flour, baking powder, psyllium husk powder, and salt.
- Melt Cheese:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese.
- Microwave on high for about 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and smooth. Stir halfway through to ensure even melting.
- Combine Ingredients:
- Add the eggs to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Add the melted cheese mixture to the dough and mix until it forms a uniform dough. This might require some kneading with your hands, as the dough can be quite sticky.
- Form the Buns:
- Divide the dough into 4-6 equal portions (depending on the size of the buns you want).
- Shape each portion into a hot dog bun shape and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the buns are golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the buns to cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving with your favorite hot dog or sausage….
