Keto Chicken Nuggets Air Fryer Recipe


  • 1 lb chicken breasts (cut into nugget-sized pieces)
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • Cooking spray (avocado oil or olive oil)


  1. Prepare the Chicken:
    1. Cut the chicken breasts into nugget-sized pieces, about 1-2 inches each.
  2. Set Up Breading Stations:
    1. In a shallow bowl, mix the almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
    2. In another shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and heavy cream.
  3. Bread the Chicken Nuggets:
    1. Dip each piece of chicken into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off.
    2. Then coat the chicken piece in the almond flour mixture, pressing gently to ensure the breading sticks.
    3. Repeat until all chicken pieces are coated.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  5. Cook the Chicken Nuggets:
    1. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
    2. Arrange the breaded chicken nuggets in a single layer in the basket. Do not overcrowd; cook in batches if necessary.
    3. Lightly spray the tops of the nuggets with cooking spray.
    4. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the nuggets are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  6. Serve:
    1. Remove the chicken nuggets from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
    2. Enjoy with your favorite keto-friendly dipping sauce, such as sugar-free ketchup, mustard, or ranch dressing.
