Keto Cheese Straws

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups almond flour
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder (optional, for a fluffier texture)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Mix the dry ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the almond flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika (if using), baking powder, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  3. Add the wet ingredients: Add the melted butter, egg, cheddar cheese, and Parmesan to the dry ingredients. Mix everything together until you form a dough.
  4. Shape the straws: Take small portions of the dough and roll them into thin logs or strips about 4-5 inches long. You can also shape them into twists if you prefer.
  5. Bake: Place the shaped cheese straws onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Cool and serve: Allow the cheese straws to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy these crispy, cheesy treats as a snack or appetizer! You can also store them in an airtight container for up to a week.
