Iowa Party Bites

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground pork
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup almond flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, almond flour, egg, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
  3. Form the bites: Take small amounts of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get around 20-24 bites.
  4. Cook the bacon: In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Crumble it into small pieces and mix it into the pork mixture.
  5. Fry the bites: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the bites in batches and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden and cooked through.
  6. Bake: Transfer the bites to a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes to ensure they are fully cooked.
  7. Serve: Once they are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
