Iowa Party Bites

Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) ground pork
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, almond flour, egg, parsley, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
- Form the bites: Take small amounts of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get around 20-24 bites.
- Cook the bacon: In a skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Crumble it into small pieces and mix it into the pork mixture.
- Fry the bites: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the bites in batches and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden and cooked through.
- Bake: Transfer the bites to a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes to ensure they are fully cooked.
- Serve: Once they are out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
