Washing kitchen towels with bath towels is not automatically a hygiene mistake. What matters most is how each towel was used. Bath towels usually collect moisture and skin residue, while kitchen cloths may pick up food particles and cooking oils. If a kitchen towel has only dried clean hands or clean dishes, it can generally join your bathroom towels. Use suitable detergent, follow fabric care instructions, and choose an appropriate wash setting rather than assuming every mixed load needs special treatment.

Leave enough room in the machine for effective cleaning. Afterward, dry every towel thoroughly before putting it away or using it again. Damp storage encourages unpleasant smells and mildew; thoughtful sorting and complete drying keep the routine reassuringly simple.
