Home Made Keto Philly Cheesesteak Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef or thinly sliced steak
  • 1 medium green bell pepper (thinly sliced)
  • 1 medium onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup (100g) mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (or butter for cooking)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the Meat:
    Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef or steak slices and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Sauté Veggies:
    In the same skillet, add bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Cook until softened and slightly caramelized.
  4. Make the Creamy Base:
    In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, heavy cream, and half the shredded mozzarella. Mix until smooth.
  5. Assemble the Casserole:
    In a greased casserole dish, layer the cooked beef, sautéed veggies, and the creamy mixture. Top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake:
    Bake in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve:
