โ Ingredients (Serves 4โ6)
- 6 cups whole grain or brioche bread (cubed, slightly stale works best)
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain, high-protein)
- 1 cup milk (any kind)
- 1โ2 tbsp honey or maple syrup
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: berries or banana slices
๐ช Instructions
- Preheat oven
- Set to 180ยฐC (350ยฐF)
- Lightly grease a baking dish
- Prepare bread base
- Add cubed bread to dish evenly
- Sprinkle in fruit if using
- Make protein custard
- Whisk eggs + Greek yogurt + milk
- Add honey, cinnamon, vanilla
โ Smooth and slightly thick mixture
- Combine
- Pour mixture over bread
- Press lightly so all bread soaks it up
- Let sit 10โ15 minutes (important)
- Bake
- Bake 35โ40 minutes until set and golden
- Cool slightly & serve
- Let rest 5โ10 minutes before slicing
