Crustless Pizza Bake

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey or chicken (93% lean)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (sugar-free or low-sugar)
  • 1 cup reduced-fat mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (optional)
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, diced
  • 1/2 cup turkey pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Cook the Meat: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey or chicken until browned. Drain excess liquid if needed.
  3. Season It: Add garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir in the marinara sauce and mix well.
  4. Layer It: Transfer the cooked meat mixture to the baking dish. Top with mushrooms, bell peppers, and half of the cheese.
  5. Add the Toppings: Arrange turkey pepperoni slices over the top and sprinkle the remaining cheese.
  6. Bake: Place in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Serve & Enjoy! Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
