Ingredients:
1 kg cooked beets
100 g fresh horseradish (or 2–3 tablespoons of horseradish from a jar)
2 tablespoons sugar
1–2 tablespoons of spirits vinegar or lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation method:
Cook the beets, cool, peel and grate into a fine grater. Also finely grate or use ready-made horseradish.
Combine the beets with horseradish, add sugar, vinegar or lemon juice, salt and pepper. Mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a sterilized jar or container and refrigerate for several hours before serving, so the flavors blend well.
