Air fryer sausage rolls
Ingredients:
- 1 package of puff pastry sheets, thawed
- 8 pork sausage links, casings removed
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into rectangles, about 3 inches wide and 5 inches long.
- Take one pork sausage link and place it along the center of each rectangle of puff pastry.
- Roll the pastry around the sausage, ensuring that the seam side is facing down. Repeat with the remaining sausages and pastry.
- Brush the tops of the sausage rolls with beaten egg. This will give them a nice golden color when cooked.
- If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds or poppy seeds on top of the egg wash for added flavor and decoration.
- Place the sausage rolls in the air fryer basket, leaving some space between each roll to allow for even cooking.
- Cook the sausage rolls in the air fryer for 12-15 minutes, or until they are golden brown and the pastry is cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the sausage rolls from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Enjoy your homemade air fryer sausage rolls as a delicious snack or appetizer!
