Things you need
1 big head of cauliflower
2 to 3 tablespoons of olive oil
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
½ teaspoon of onion powder
½ teaspoon chili powder (optional, for heat)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: Grated parmesan or a squeeze of lemon at the end
How to do it
Get the cauliflower ready
Cut the cauliflower into medium-sized pieces. So they cook evenly, try to make them all the same size. Dry them off with a paper towel. This will help them get crunchy.
Time of year
Put the florets in a big bowl with olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, chili powder (if using), salt, and pepper. Mix everything together well so that it is all covered.
Fry in the air
Set your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) to start.
Put the cauliflower in the basket in a single layer. If you need to, work in batches.
Make food
Air fry for 14 to 18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
You want the edges to be a deep golden brown and the outside to be crispy.
Finish and serve.
Taste it and add more salt if you think it needs it.
You can sprinkle parmesan on top or squeeze lemon juice on it right before serving if you want.
Advice
This is the key to making things crispy: don’t fill the basket too full.
Add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch to the seasoning mix for more crunch.
You can dip them in ranch, garlic aioli, or spicy mayo.
