- 8 oz (225 g) imitation crab meat, shredded or chopped
- 8 oz (225 g) cooked shrimp, peeled and chopped
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- ¼ cup sour cream
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ¼ tsp salt, or to taste
- ½ cup finely chopped celery
- ¼ cup finely chopped red onion
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 2 tbsp finely chopped green onions
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 1–2 tbsp sweet pickle relish, optional
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
- Add the chopped crab meat and shrimp.
- Stir in the celery, red onion, parsley, green onions, dill, and pickle relish if using.
- Gently mix until everything is evenly coated in the creamy dressing.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
- Give the salad a gentle stir before serving and adjust the seasoning if needed.
Serving
Serve chilled over lettuce, with crackers, in sandwiches, or as a side dish. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill and a little paprika for a finished look.
Tip: For the best texture, make sure the seafood is well-drained and cooled completely before mixing it with the dressing.
