🍞 Air Fryer Tea Loaf

1 small loaf (6–8 slices)

🧺 Ingredients

1 mug strong tea (hot, no milk)
(English breakfast or black tea works best)

1 mug self-raising flour

1 mug raisins

1 egg

Soak the raisins

Pour the hot tea over the raisins

Leave to soak for 30–60 minutes
(This plumps them up and adds flavour)

Preheat air fryer

160Β°C / 320Β°F for 5 minutes

Make the batter

Add the egg to the soaked raisins and tea

Mix well

Add the self-raising flour

Stir until just combined (don’t overmix)

Prepare the tin

Grease a small loaf tin or cake tin that fits your air fryer

Line with baking paper if you like

Pour in batter

Smooth the top gently

🍳 Air Fryer Cooking Instructions

Cook

Place tin in the air fryer basket

Cook at 160Β°C / 320Β°F for 40–50 minutes

Check

Insert a skewer or knife into the centre

It should come out clean

If browning too fast

Loosely cover the top with foil and continue cooking

❄️ Cooling

Let cool in the tin for 10 minutes

Turn out and cool completely before slicing

Spread with butter

Serve with cheese
