2 pieces of bread, some ham and cheese made into a sandwich.


  • 2 slices of bread (your choice of white, whole wheat, etc.)
  • 2-3 slices of ham
  • 1-2 slices of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, provolone, or your favorite type)
  • Optional: lettuce, tomato, mustard, mayonnaise, or other condiments of your choice


  1. Lay out the two slices of bread on a clean surface.
  2. If you’re using condiments, spread them on one or both slices of bread. For example, you might spread mustard on one slice and mayonnaise on the other.
  3. Place the ham slices evenly on one slice of bread.
  4. Place the cheese slices on top of the ham.
  5. If you’re adding any additional toppings like lettuce or tomato, place them on top of the cheese.
  6. Place the other slice of bread on top to form a sandwich.
  7. Press down gently on the sandwich to help everything stick together.
  8. If desired, you can cut the sandwich in half diagonally or straight down the middle.
