Weight Watchers BOTTOM LAYER

Ingredients:
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust according to your sweetness preference)
- 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter (use a low-fat version for a lighter option)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds (such as almonds, walnuts, or sunflower seeds)
- Optional: 1/4 cup dried fruits (such as raisins, cranberries, or chopped dates)
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, unsweetened applesauce, honey or maple syrup, almond butter or peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
- If desired, stir in chopped nuts or seeds and dried fruits until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
- Line a baking dish or tray with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.
- Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish or tray. Use the back of a spoon or your hands to compact it tightly.
- Place the dish or tray in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes, or until the bottom layer is firm.
- Once the bottom layer is firm, you can proceed with adding the other layers of your OMG bars according to your recipe.
