Weight Watchers BOTTOM LAYER


  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup (adjust according to your sweetness preference)
  • 1/4 cup almond butter or peanut butter (use a low-fat version for a lighter option)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts or seeds (such as almonds, walnuts, or sunflower seeds)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup dried fruits (such as raisins, cranberries, or chopped dates)


  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, unsweetened applesauce, honey or maple syrup, almond butter or peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
  2. If desired, stir in chopped nuts or seeds and dried fruits until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
  3. Line a baking dish or tray with parchment paper, leaving some overhang on the sides for easy removal later.
  4. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish or tray. Use the back of a spoon or your hands to compact it tightly.
  5. Place the dish or tray in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes, or until the bottom layer is firm.
  6. Once the bottom layer is firm, you can proceed with adding the other layers of your OMG bars according to your recipe.
