Vegan spaghetti with asparagus


Ingredients:
8 ounces spaghetti
1 bunch of asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
While the spaghetti is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1-2 minutes or until fragrant.
Add the asparagus to the skillet and sauté for about 4-5 minutes or until it is tender but still has a bit of crunch. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss well with the asparagus and garlic oil. Serve hot.
