Vegan margarita pizza pie
Vegan margarita pizza pie
Ingredients:
- 1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup vegan mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2-3 large tomatoes, sliced
- Handful of fresh basil leaves, torn
- Olive oil, for drizzling
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F.
- In a small bowl, mix together the tomato sauce, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Spread the tomato sauce mixture over the pizza dough, leaving about 1/2 inch border around the edge.
- Sprinkle the vegan mozzarella cheese over the sauce.
- Arrange the tomato slices on top of the cheese.
- Drizzle the pizza with a little bit of olive oil.
- Bake the pizza in the oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Once the pizza is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Sprinkle the fresh torn basil leaves over the pizza.
- Cut the pizza into slices and serve hot.
