Vegan Homemade Chocolate Oat Milk 🥛🍫🌱

Ingredients (Makes ~3 cups)

  • ½ cup rolled oats (gluten-free if needed)
  • 2 ½ cups cold water
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (or agave, date syrup)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • A pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional, for warmth)
  • 3-4 ice cubes (helps prevent sliminess)

Instructions

1️⃣ Blend Everything

  • Add oats, water, cocoa powder, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and ice cubes to a blender.
  • Blend on high for 30-45 seconds (don’t overblend to avoid sliminess).

2️⃣ Strain the Oat Milk

  • Pour the mixture through a nut milk bag, cheesecloth, or fine mesh strainer into a bowl or jug.
  • Squeeze gently to extract all the liquid.

3️⃣ Chill & Serve

  • Transfer to a bottle and refrigerate for up to 4 days.
  • Shake well before serving.
