VEGAN HOMEMADE BREAD


Ingredients:
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 cups warm water
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tsp active dry yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flours and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix together the warm water, maple syrup, olive oil, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until the yeast is foamy.
Pour the yeast mixture into the flour mixture and stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover it with a towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour until it has doubled in size.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a bread pan.
Punch down the dough and shape it into a loaf. Place it in the prepared bread pan.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
Vegan Garlic Herb Bread
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
1 tbsp dried basil
1 tbsp dried oregano
1 tbsp dried thyme
2 tsp active dry yeast
1 1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, nutritional yeast, dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, active dry yeast, and salt.
In a separate bowl, mix together the warm water, olive oil, and minced garlic. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
Pour the garlic mixture into the flour mixture and stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3 bananas)
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
1/4 cup almond milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)
