Vegan Cheese Crackers

Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups (180 grams) all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup (20 grams) nutritional yeast
  • 2 tablespoons chia seeds
  • ¼ cup (60 ml) olive oil
  • ½ cup (120 ml) water
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, nutritional yeast, chia seeds, salt, and garlic powder (if using).
  3. Pour in the olive oil and water. Mix well until a dough forms.
  4. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out thinly, about 1/8 inch thick.
  5. Remove the top layer of parchment paper. Use a pizza cutter or knife to cut the dough into desired cracker shapes.
  6. Carefully transfer the crackers (still on the bottom parchment paper) to the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Let them cool completely on the baking sheet.
