Things you need:
2 cups of flour for all purposes
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 tsp of yeast that works right away
¾ cup of warm milk (or water)
1 tablespoon of oil or butter
1 egg (optional, for a softer texture)
1 tablespoon of milk (for brushing)
1–2 tsp seeds (chia, sesame, or nigella) How to make it:
1. Combine the dough
Put the yeast, sugar, salt, and flour in a bowl. Add the butter, warm milk, and egg (if using). Mix everything together until it forms a soft dough.
2. Work it
Knead the dough for 8 to 10 minutes, or until it is smooth and a little stretchy. It shouldn’t feel sticky; it should feel soft.
3. Allow it to rise
Put a lid on the dough and let it sit in a warm place for about an hour, or until it has doubled in size.
4. Give it a shape
Gently punch it down and shape it into a ball. Put it in a pan that fits your air fryer and is lightly greased.
5. Put on the topping
Put some milk on top and sprinkle your seeds.
6. Fry in the air
Set the air fryer to 160°C (320°F) before you start cooking.
The top should be golden brown and the bread should sound hollow when you tap it. Cook for 15 to 18 minutes.
A small tip:
If the top browns too quickly, just loosely cover it with foil for the last few minutes. And brushing a little butter on it right after cooking makes it very soft and shiny.
