Pimento Cheese
Ingredients:
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese (or any cheese you like)
- 1/4 cup diced pimentos, drained
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for spice)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions or jalapeños (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Mix Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, Monterey Jack, diced pimentos, mayonnaise, and Dijon mustard.
- Season: Add garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything until well combined. You can use a hand mixer for a smoother texture or a spatula for a chunkier version.
- Chill: Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
