- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For the Whipped Cream:
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
Special Equipment:
- Large trifle dish or individual serving glasses
- Electric mixer
- Mixing bowls
- Spatula
- Measuring cups and spoons
Instructions
- Begin by preparing your favorite brownies. You can use a homemade recipe or a box mix. Once baked, allow the brownies to cool completely.
- Cut the cooled brownies into small, bite-sized squares. Set aside while preparing the other components.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, softened cream cheese, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to beat the mixture until it becomes smooth and creamy.
- In a separate clean bowl, pour the heavy whipping cream. Using a hand mixer or stand mixer with a whisk attachment, beat the cream on medium-high speed.
- Gradually add the granulated sugar to the whipping cream. Continue beating until stiff, fluffy peaks form. Be careful not to overbeat.
- Time to assemble the trifle! Start by placing a layer of brownie pieces at the bottom of your trifle dish or serving glasses.
- Spread a generous layer of the peanut butter mixture over the brownies. Sprinkle mini chocolate chips and chopped peanuts on top.
- Drizzle a bit of chocolate syrup over this layer for extra decadence.
- Add a layer of the freshly whipped cream, spreading it gently to cover the previous layer.
- Repeat the layers: brownies, peanut butter mixture, chocolate chips, peanuts, chocolate syrup, and whipped cream.
- Continue layering until you reach the top of your dish, ensuring you end with a beautiful layer of whipped cream.
