Mini Pizza Cakes with Cheese and Pepperoni
These mini pizza cakes are a fun, bite-sized twist on classic pizza! Soft and fluffy on the inside with a crispy exterior, topped with gooey cheese, pepperoni, and your favorite pizza sauce. Perfect for parties, kids’ snacks, or a casual dinner.
Ingredients:
For the Pizza Dough:
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
3/4 cup warm water
1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Toppings:
1 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup pepperoni slices
Fresh basil leaves (optional)
Instructions:
Prepare the Pizza Dough:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a muffin tin or use muffin liners.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Add the warm water and olive oil, stirring until the dough forms. Knead for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.
Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 to 1 1/2 inches in diameter, and place each ball into a muffin tin. Gently press down to form a crust-like base.
Add Sauce and Cheese:
Spoon a little pizza sauce onto each dough base, spreading it out evenly.
Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
Top with Pepperoni and Bake:
Place 2-3 pepperoni slices on each mini pizza cake.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is golden brown.
Garnish and Serve:
Remove the mini pizza cakes from the oven and let them cool slightly.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired for extra flavor and color.
Tips:
For a homemade touch, use your favorite pizza sauce or make a quick sauce with canned tomatoes, garlic, and herbs.
You can substitute pepperoni with other toppings like mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives for a vegetarian version.
Serve with a side of dipping sauce like marinara or ranch for extra flavor.
