Keto MOZZARELLA STICK Recipe
Ingredients:
- 12 sticks of string cheese (mozzarella)
- 1 cup almond flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning (or a mix of dried oregano, basil, and garlic powder)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking oil spray (like olive oil or avocado oil)

Instructions:
- Prepare Cheese Sticks:
- Cut each string cheese stick in half so you have 24 shorter sticks.
- Place them in the freezer for about 30 minutes to firm up.
- Prepare Coating:
- In a shallow bowl, mix almond flour with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Coat the Cheese Sticks:
- In another bowl, beat the eggs.
- Take each cheese stick from the freezer and dip it first into the beaten eggs, then into the almond flour mixture, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
- Repeat the process to double coat each stick (optional for a thicker crust).
- Chill Again (Optional):
- Place the coated cheese sticks in the freezer for another 15-20 minutes to firm up the coating.
- Fry or Air Fry:
- Frying Method: Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to about 350°F (175°C). Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for about 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
- Air Fryer Method: Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C). Place the mozzarella sticks in a single layer in the air fryer basket (you might need to do this in batches). Spray lightly with cooking oil. Air fry for about 6-8 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
- Serve:
- Serve hot with marinara sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
