Keto French Dip Sandwich

Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 1 lb roast beef (thinly sliced, deli-style or homemade)
  • 1 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 1 cup beef broth (low-sodium)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, check carb content)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 4 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese

For the keto sandwich “bread”:
Choose one:

  • 2–4 keto buns (store-bought or homemade)
    or
  • Chaffles (cheese + egg waffles)
    or
  • Almond flour mug bread, sliced

🔥 Directions:

  1. Make the Au Jus (broth):
    In a saucepan, heat beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes. Set aside.
  2. Warm the beef:
    In a skillet, heat butter. Add sliced roast beef and a few spoonfuls of the broth. Heat until warm and juicy.
  3. Assemble the sandwiches:
    • Toast keto buns or bread slightly.
    • Add warm beef and top with cheese.
    • Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes to melt the cheese.
  4. Serve:
    • Serve with a small bowl of hot broth (au jus) on the side for dipping.

🧀 Tip:

Add sautéed onions or mushrooms (if carbs allow) for extra flavor. Great for lunch, dinner, or meal prep!
