Ingredients:
For the filling:
- 1 lb roast beef (thinly sliced, deli-style or homemade)
- 1 tbsp butter or olive oil
- 1 cup beef broth (low-sodium)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional, check carb content)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 4 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
For the keto sandwich “bread”:
Choose one:
- 2–4 keto buns (store-bought or homemade)
or - Chaffles (cheese + egg waffles)
or - Almond flour mug bread, sliced
🔥 Directions:
- Make the Au Jus (broth):
In a saucepan, heat beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes. Set aside. - Warm the beef:
In a skillet, heat butter. Add sliced roast beef and a few spoonfuls of the broth. Heat until warm and juicy. - Assemble the sandwiches:
- Toast keto buns or bread slightly.
- Add warm beef and top with cheese.
- Optional: Broil for 1–2 minutes to melt the cheese.
- Serve:
- Serve with a small bowl of hot broth (au jus) on the side for dipping.
