Homemade Cheesy Pizza Pockets

Ingredients:

1 package refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1/2 cup diced pepperoni (or other favorite toppings like sausage, veggies, etc.)
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 large egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Optional: grated Parmesan cheese for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or a light greasing.

Prepare the Dough:
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface and cut it into 6-8 rectangles or circles to shape your pockets.

Fill the Pockets:
Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on each piece of dough, leaving space around the edges.
Top with mozzarella cheese and diced pepperoni or your choice of toppings.

Seal the Pockets:
Fold the dough over the filling to form a pocket. Press and crimp the edges with a fork to seal it.

Add Egg Wash:
Brush each pocket with the beaten egg for a golden finish. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning and grated Parmesan, if desired.

Bake:
Place on the baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes, or until golden and crisp.

Serve Hot:
Let cool slightly before enjoying your delicious, cheesy pizza pockets!
