Home Made Keto French fries
Ingredients:
- 2 large zucchinis or 1 large eggplant (for a keto-friendly option, zucchini is preferred)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary or thyme for extra flavor
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Prepare Vegetables:
- For Zucchini: Wash and cut the zucchinis into thin strips, similar to the shape of French fries.
- For Eggplant: Wash and cut the eggplant into thin strips.
- Season: In a large bowl, toss the vegetable strips with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Make sure all pieces are evenly coated.
- Arrange on Baking Sheet: Spread the vegetable strips out in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Try not to overcrowd them to ensure they crisp up properly.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, flipping the strips halfway through the cooking time. Bake until they are golden brown and crispy.
- Cool: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. They will crisp up more as they cool.
- Serve: Enjoy your keto French fries with your favorite dipping sauce or as a side dish.
