Total Time: ~30–35 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
Flavor Profile: Savory, buttery, garlicky, satisfying

βœ… Ingredients:

πŸ₯” For the Potatoes:

  • 2 cups baby potatoes, halved (or quartered if large)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

πŸ₯© For the Steak Bites:

  • 500g (1 lb) sirloin steak (or ribeye), cut into bite-sized cubes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

🧈 For the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley
  • Optional: pinch of chili flakes or a squeeze of lemon

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ Instructions:

πŸ”Ή 1. Cook the Potatoes

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the halved baby potatoes for 6–8 minutes until just fork-tender. Drain and pat dry.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the potatoes cut-side down. Cook 5–7 minutes, flipping occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

πŸ”Ή 2. Cook the Steak Bites

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels (helps with searing).
  2. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  3. In the same skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over high heat.
  4. Add steak bites in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Sear for about 1–2 minutes per side, until browned but still tender inside.
  5. Remove steak from skillet and set aside with the potatoes.

πŸ”Ή 3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  1. Lower heat to medium.
  2. Add 3 tbsp butter to the same skillet and let it melt.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic. Cook for 30–60 seconds, just until fragrant (don’t let it brown).
  4. Optional: Add a pinch of chili flakes or a squeeze of lemon juice for a little kick.

πŸ”Ή 4. Combine & Finish

  1. Return the potatoes and steak bites to the skillet.
  2. Toss everything to coat well in the garlic butter.
  3. Cook for another 1–2 minutes, just to reheat and combine flavors.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
