Cheesy Beef Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Slider buns (12 count)
  • Butter, for brushing

Optional toppings:

  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Ketchup and mustard

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Beef Mixture:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped onion until softened.
    • Add the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
    • Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned and no longer pink.
    • Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
    • Season the beef with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir well to combine.
  2. Assemble the Sliders:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a baking dish.
    • Spoon a portion of the beef mixture onto each bun bottom, spreading it evenly.
  3. Add Cheese:
    • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the beef mixture.
  4. Top with Bun Halves:
    • Place the top halves of the slider buns on top of the cheese.
  5. Brush with Butter:
    • Melt a small amount of butter and brush it over the tops of the slider buns.
  6. Bake:
    • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the sliders are heated through.
  7. Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and serve the sliders warm.
    • Optionally, add toppings such as lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, or mustard according to preference.
