Cheese-Stuffed Lasagna (using cheese noodles)

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the noodles: Cook the lasagna noodles or manicotti tubes according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the cheese filling: In a large bowl, combine ricotta cheese, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, oregano, and basil. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  3. Stuff the noodles: If you’re using lasagna noodles, you can spread a bit of the cheese mixture across the cooked noodles, then roll them up. For manicotti, simply stuff the cheese filling inside the tubes.
  4. Layer the lasagna: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish. Arrange the stuffed noodles on top, and then cover with more marinara sauce.
  5. Add cream: Drizzle the heavy cream over the top of the lasagna. This step makes it extra creamy and luxurious!
  6. Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for about 30-40 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and the top to turn golden.
  7. Serve: Let the lasagna cool for a few minutes, then serve hot. Garnish with fresh basil if desired!

This version is all about creamy, cheesy goodness, with marinara sauce adding a nice tangy contrast. Would you be adding any meat or vegetables, or are you keeping it all about the cheese?
