Cake in 5 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 4 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/8 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 3 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: 1 tbsp chocolate chips or nuts
Instructions:
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a microwave-safe mug, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to ensure all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the mug. Stir until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps. If desired, fold in chocolate chips or nuts.
- Microwave: Place the mug in the microwave and cook on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on your microwave’s wattage. Start checking at the 1-minute mark to avoid overcooking.
- Check for Doneness: The cake should rise and be set but still slightly moist in the center. If it needs more time, continue microwaving in 10-second intervals until done.
- Cool and Enjoy: Allow the cake to cool for a minute or two before enjoying it directly from the mug. Optionally, top with a scoop of ice cream, whipped cream, or a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
