Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes

Ingredients:
- Potatoes: Use about 1.5 to 2 pounds (680-900g) of potatoes. You can use any type you prefer, such as Yukon Gold or Russet, and leave the skins on for extra texture and flavor.
- Olive Oil: About 2 tablespoons, for coating the potatoes.
- Seasonings: Customize with your favorite seasonings. Popular options include:
- Salt and pepper
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Rosemary (fresh or dried)
- Thyme
- Parmesan cheese (optional, for sprinkling after cooking)
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) and allow it to preheat while you prepare the potatoes.
- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Wash the potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Cut the potatoes into bite-sized cubes or wedges. Try to make the pieces as uniform as possible for even cooking.
- Seasoning:
- In a large bowl, toss the potato cubes with olive oil until they are evenly coated.
- Add your preferred seasonings and toss again to distribute them evenly over the potatoes.
- Air Frying:
- Once the air fryer is preheated, place the seasoned potatoes in the basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Cook the potatoes at 400°F (200°C) for about 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Cooking time can vary based on the size of your potato pieces and the efficiency of your air fryer.
- Check for Doneness:
- Pierce a potato with a fork to check if they are tender and crispy on the outside. If they’re not done to your liking, continue cooking for a few more minutes, checking regularly.
- Serve:
- Once the potatoes are cooked to perfection, transfer them to a serving dish. Optionally, sprinkle with additional salt or parmesan cheese before serving for added flavor.
- Enjoy:
- Serve your air fryer roasted potatoes hot as a side dish or a snack. They pair well with a variety of main dishes or can be enjoyed on their own.
