Air fryer Lemon Garlic Chicken Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lemon (about 2–3 tbsp)
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (or Italian seasoning)
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Optional: 1 tsp honey or maple syrup (for a touch of sweetness)
  • Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

1. Marinate the Chicken

  1. In a bowl, combine:
    • olive oil
    • minced garlic
    • lemon zest + lemon juice
    • oregano
    • paprika
    • salt + pepper
    • (optional honey)
  2. Add chicken pieces and toss until evenly coated.
  3. Let marinate 10–30 minutes (or up to 2 hours in the fridge).

2. Air Fry the Chicken

  1. Preheat air fryer to 400°F (if your model needs preheating).
  2. Place chicken bites in a single layer in the basket.
  3. Cook 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  4. Cook 1–2 more minutes if needed until internal temperature reaches 165°F.

3. Optional Lemon Garlic Sauce

For extra lemony garlic flavor, mix:

  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • pinch of salt

Microwave 20 seconds or melt in a pan, then toss chicken bites in the sauce.
