Air fryer cinnamon franch toast

  • 4 slices of thick bread (such as brioche, challah, or Texas toast)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk (or any non-dairy milk)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Cooking spray or a little melted butter for greasing the air fryer basket

Optional Toppings:

  • Maple syrup
  • Powdered sugar
  • Fresh berries
  • Whipped cream

  1. Prepare the Batter:
    1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
  2. Dip the Bread:
    1. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds on each side. Make sure the bread is well-coated but not overly saturated.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer:
    1. Preheat your air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Air Fry the French Toast:
    1. Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a little melted butter.
    2. Place the soaked bread slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
    3. Air fry at 370°F (190°C) for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the French toast is golden brown and crispy on the outside.
  5. Serve:
    1. Remove the French toast from the air fryer and serve immediately.
    2. Top with your favorite toppings such as maple syrup, powdered sugar, fresh berries, or whipped cream.

  • For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of nutmeg to the egg mixture.
  • If you prefer a richer batter, substitute half of the milk with heavy cream.
  • Keep the first batch of French toast warm in a low oven while you cook the remaining slices.
