Air Fryer Baked Potatoes

Ingredients:
- 4 medium-sized russet potatoes
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt, to taste
- Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, chives, cheese, bacon bits
Instructions:
- Preheat the Air Fryer:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Prepare the Potatoes:
- Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt.
- Pat the potatoes dry with a paper towel.
- Using a fork, poke several holes around each potato to allow steam to escape during cooking.
- Season the Potatoes:
- Rub each potato with olive oil to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle salt over the potatoes, ensuring an even coating.
- Air Fry the Potatoes:
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching each other.
- Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 35-45 minutes, depending on the size of the potatoes. Flip the potatoes halfway through the cooking time for even crisping.
- To check for doneness, insert a fork or knife into the center of a potato; it should go in easily.
- Serve:
- Carefully remove the potatoes from the air fryer (they will be hot!).
- Slice open the top of each potato and fluff the insides with a fork.
- Add your favorite toppings and serve hot.
Tips:
- If you like extra crispy skin, you can add a bit more oil or even a light sprinkle of garlic powder or other seasonings before cooking.
- For an extra creamy inside, consider microwaving the potatoes for 5 minutes before air frying to help them cook evenly.
