Ingredients
Chicken: 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, pounded thin
Breading: ½ cup all-purpose flour, 1 egg (beaten), 1 cup Panko breadcrumbs, 1 tsp garlic powder, salt, and pepper
Hot Honey Sauce: ⅓ cup honey, 1 tbsp hot sauce, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar, ½ tsp red pepper flakes
Garnish: ½ cup crumbled feta cheese, 1 fresh red chili (sliced), ¼ cup finely chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
Instructions
Prep the Chicken: Season the chicken pieces generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Bread the Chicken: Set up a dredging station. Coat each piece of chicken in flour, shake off the excess, dip it into the beaten egg, and then press firmly into the Panko breadcrumbs until fully coated.
Fry until Golden: Heat about ¼ inch of neutral oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side, or until the crust is deeply golden-brown and crispy, and the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Transfer to a wire rack to drain.
Make the Sauce: While the chicken cooks, combine the honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir for 2–3 minutes until warm and fully emulsified.
Assemble and Serve: Arrange the crispy chicken on a serving platter. Generously drizzle the warm hot honey sauce over the top, letting it pool slightly at the bottom. Finish by heavily topping the chicken with the crumbled feta cheese, sliced red chilies, and a vibrant shower of fresh chopped herbs as seen in Serve immediately while hot
