Cheesy Ground Beef French Bread Pizza

Ingredients

Bread: 1 loaf of French bread, cut in half lengthwise.

Meat: 1 lb lean ground beef.

Base/Sauce: 1 can (15 oz) of your favorite sloppy joe sauce (like Manwich) or a mixture of 2/3 cup ketchup, 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce, and seasonings.

Vegetables: 1/2 yellow onion, diced, and optionally 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper.

Cheese: 1.5 to 3 cups shredded cheddar or Colby Jack cheese.

Garnish: Freshly chopped parsley or green onions (as seen in your photo).

Seasoning (if making your own sauce): 1 tsp ground mustard, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, and a pinch of cayenne pepper.

Instructions

Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

Sauté: In a large skillet, cook the diced onions (and peppers if using) in a little oil or butter until soft.

Brown the Meat: Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until no longer pink. Carefully drain any excess grease.

Simmer: Stir in the sloppy joe sauce (or your ketchup/spice mixture). Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to allow the flavors to combine.

Serve: Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing into pieces. Garnish with parsley and enjoy!.
