Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup sugar-free sloppy joe sauce or tomato sauce

  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1ยฝ cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 1 can high-protein biscuit dough or homemade protein biscuits

Instructions

1. Cook the Meat

  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
  • Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  • Drain excess fat if needed.

2. Make the Sloppy Joe Filling

  • Stir in sloppy joe sauce, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer 5 minutes.

3. Assemble

  • Spread meat mixture into a greased baking dish.
  • Spoon cottage cheese evenly over the top.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese.

4. Add Biscuits

  • Cut biscuit dough into pieces and place on top.

5. Bake

  • Bake at 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) for 18โ€“22 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
