Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) lean ground beef or turkey
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup sugar-free sloppy joe sauce or tomato sauce
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1ยฝ cups shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
- 1 can high-protein biscuit dough or homemade protein biscuits
Instructions
1. Cook the Meat
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook onion and garlic for 2 minutes.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Drain excess fat if needed.
2. Make the Sloppy Joe Filling
- Stir in sloppy joe sauce, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer 5 minutes.
3. Assemble
- Spread meat mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Spoon cottage cheese evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese.
4. Add Biscuits
- Cut biscuit dough into pieces and place on top.
5. Bake
- Bake at 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) for 18โ22 minutes until biscuits are golden brown.
